Swap calculator

Swap is the overnight financing a broker charges or pays for holding a position past the daily rollover. It comes from the interest rate difference between the two currencies plus the broker's markup.

Per night
-5.00
For the whole period
-35.00

How it is calculated

Swap per night is lots times the swap rate times the point value. Brokers publish swap rates for long and short positions in the contract specification. A negative rate is a charge, a positive one is a credit.

Most brokers charge a triple swap once a week to cover the weekend, for currency pairs usually on the Wednesday rollover. Count that night as three when you add up the nights.
