How high is high: Elliott wave landmarks

The 2017 case study treats the lowest low and highest high as the central Elliott problem. After swings are visualized, territorial-distribution, wave labels, and Fibonacci retracements mark those extremes, which still need weight-of-evidence and a stop rule.

In the terms used here, a w3-wave is the typically strongest impulsive Elliott wave treated as a high-priority directional opportunity. A c-wave is a corrective-pattern wave that can still travel impulsively and is treated as another primary directional opportunity.

Fibonacci troughs as landmarks

A steep three-swing down move is followed by a five-swing advance that is more than twice as long, with internal retracements approaching the 100% landmark.

Three labeled troughs are tied to classic Fibonacci retracements: 50% for W(2) of W(1), 61.8% for w2 of w1 inside W(3), and 38.2% for w4 of w3 inside W(3).

Weight-of-evidence at a turn

Weight-of-evidence confirms prior-swing termination and new-swing inception through confluence, candlestick reversals, volume bursts, or a trend-line break with opposite-side penetration. It is a cluster of independent chart confirmations that a prior swing has ended and a new swing is starting.
