Japan Overseas Bond Buying Jumps to ¥1.09 Trillion; Foreign Investors Return to Japan Stocks
In the week of July 10, Japanese investors purchased ¥1.09 trillion in overseas bonds, reversing the prior week's sales. Foreign investors also turned net buyers of Japanese stocks and bonds.

Japanese investors were net buyers of overseas bonds for ¥1,090.1 billion, a sharp reversal from the previous week's ¥218.1 billion in net sales. Overseas stock purchases by Japanese investors totaled ¥196.2 billion, down from ¥824.5 billion the prior week.
Foreign investors bought ¥499.8 billion in Japanese bonds, compared to net sales of ¥5.9 billion the week before. They also purchased ¥745.6 billion in Japanese stocks, rebounding from net sales of ¥22.2 billion.
