Israeli finance minister calls for expulsion of British ambassador
Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich demanded the British ambassador be expelled immediately, accusing the UK government of antisemitism.
Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich called for the British ambassador to be expelled "tonight."
He said Israel "will not be a doormat trampled by an antisemitic government" and described Britain as a country "conquered by radical Islam" that is trying to escape economic and social decline by "attacking Jews and the State of Israel."
Smotrich also declared that "the British Mandate in the Land of Israel is over."
