Iran IRGC Threatens Direct Attacks on US, Israeli Commanders
Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has announced it will target U.S. and Israeli commanders in their private residences, retaliating for U.S. strikes on Iranian commanders' homes. The Financial Times reports Iran has previously tracked U.S. personnel using SS7 vulnerabilities and commercial ad data.
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) of Iran has issued a statement threatening to directly target U.S. and Israeli commanders in their private residences. The threat is framed as retaliation for American strikes that hit the homes of Iranian commanders and their families.
"Because you targeted the private residences of our commanders and their families, all your commanders in the region will now be targeted in their private residences as well," an IRGC spokesman said.
According to a report by the Financial Times, Iran has already demonstrated the ability to locate U.S. personnel anywhere. Tehran has exploited SS7 mobile network vulnerabilities and commercial advertising data to track American troops in hotels and bases across the Gulf region, enabling precise strikes.
