WTI Oil Jumps Past $84 as US Resumes Strikes in Iran

West Texas Intermediate crude surged above $84 per barrel on Thursday, gaining around 7% over two days, after the US resumed military strikes against Iran.

Oil prices rallied sharply, with the US benchmark West Texas Intermediate (WTI) breaking through $84 a barrel. The advance represents a roughly 7% gain from the prior low of $77.16, recorded earlier in the week.

The move followed reports that the United States had renewed military strikes on targets inside Iran, heightening geopolitical risk and supply concerns. The escalation gave a strong bid to crude, pushing prices to levels not seen in recent sessions.
