United Overseas Bank (UOB) strategists Quek Ser Leang and Lee Sue Ann noted that USD/SGD moved in a tight range during Wednesday’s session, touching an intraday low of 1.2804 and a high of 1.2825. The pair closed near its opening level, remaining effectively unchanged on the day.
The lack of directional movement reinforces the view that upside risks for the Singapore dollar are capped against the US dollar. Any attempts at SGD appreciation may face resistance, keeping the pair rangebound for now.
