Trump Says No Tolls in Strait of Hormuz for 60 Days, Rejects Iran's Plan

President Trump responded to reports that Iran is preparing to impose tolls on vessels in the Strait of Hormuz, stating there will be no tolls during the 60-day ceasefire period and no tolls after unless imposed by the US.

President Donald Trump addressed reports that Iran is planning to impose tolls on vessels transiting the Strait of Hormuz within 60 days. In his response, Trump declared, "There will be no tolls in the Hormuz Strait for 60 days during the cease fire period, and there will be no tolls after the 60 day period has expired, unless they are imposed by and for the US." The statement rejects Iran's reported plans and asserts US control over the strategic waterway.
