Macron urges confidence in Europe as bloc logic returns

French President Emmanuel Macron said Europe should have confidence in itself, describing that confidence as a source of European independence. He argued it would let Europeans hold their ground together in what he called a “dislocated world.”

Macron added that international law is violated every day and the logic of blocs is returning. In that environment, he said, confidence in Europe would help preserve European independence and freedom.
