Options reportedly assessed include:
- striking US military assets in southeastern Europe, including Bulgaria
- treating Cyprus, where a British air base was hit by a drone in March, as a possible retaliation target
- attacking subsea fiber-optic cables in the Strait of Hormuz
The planning suggests Tehran may respond beyond the immediate region if a renewed US offensive occurs. The report does not indicate that any final decision has been made.
