Gold ETFs Post Largest Weekly Inflow Since February at $3.5 Billion

Global physical gold-backed ETFs took in $3.5 billion last week, the biggest weekly inflow since February, as a six-week run lifted holdings to 4,114 tons.

Global physical gold-backed ETFs recorded $3.5 billion in net inflows last week, the largest weekly intake since February. This was the sixth consecutive week of inflows, the longest stretch since January.

Over the six-week period, these funds have pulled in $10.0 billion, equal to about 72.2 tons of gold. Total ETF holdings rose to 4,114 tons, the highest level since May.

Europe led the latest week with $2.3 billion of inflows. North American funds added $1.1 billion, while Asia contributed $200 million. The report described global gold demand as accelerating sharply.
