EUR/USD Eyes 1.1600 as Soft ADP Data Weakens Dollar Index

Weaker-than-expected ADP employment data pressured the Dollar Index, opening the door for EUR/USD to target 1.1600. Key support at 99.50 on the DXY must hold to maintain the broader bullish view.

EURUSD

ADP employment figures came in below expectations, triggering a slide in the Dollar Index. The softer labor market reading has shifted short-term sentiment, allowing EUR/USD to set its sights on the 1.1600 level.

Crucial support for the Dollar Index is seen near 99.50. Holding above this threshold is necessary to keep the upside view intact for the greenback. Failure to do so could accelerate the downside momentum.

Volatility is expected to persist as markets await US jobless claims data today and the Nonfarm Payrolls report later this week. These releases will likely determine the next directional move for both the dollar and the euro pair.
