European Gas Prices Hinge on LNG Inflows, Commerzbank Says
Commerzbank says European gas storage will rely on stronger LNG imports over winter, with current inflows of 8 bcm per month insufficient to prevent inventories trending toward zero.
Commerzbank’s Norman Liebke argues that European gas storage will depend on higher LNG imports over winter. At current inflows of around 8 bcm per month, storage levels would trend toward zero, the bank notes.
That leaves LNG arrivals as a key variable for the European gas market. Unless import volumes pick up, inventories could become extremely depleted during the heating season.
