Dollar Gains Broadly, US Equities Also Rise
The US dollar strengthened across the FX market on Tuesday, even against the yen, while US equities also edged higher.

The US dollar advanced broadly in the foreign exchange market during the previous session, gaining against all major counterparts. It even firmed against the Japanese yen, which had held on to most of the gains from a recent market intervention operation conducted by Japanese and US authorities.
US equities also edged higher, extending their upward trend.
