Canadian Dollar Erases Two Months of Losses in 10 Sessions

The Canadian dollar surged to its strongest level since mid-June, with USD/CAD holding just above 1.3900 after a rapid advance over ten sessions.

The Canadian dollar has rallied sharply, recouping two months of declines in just ten trading sessions.

USD/CAD is now hovering near 1.3900, its lowest since the second week of June. The move leaves the pair close to breaking below the 1.39 handle, a level not sustained since early summer.

The loonie's strength comes amid shifting interest rate expectations and firmer oil prices, though no single catalyst was highlighted in the report.
