AUD/USD Stalls at 0.70 Crossroads, Bias Neutral-Bullish Above 0.69
The Australian dollar is struggling to break through the 0.7000 barrier against the US dollar. A neutral-to-bullish bias holds while the pair stays above 0.6900, but repeated rejections at the round number keep the downside risk alive.
The AUD/USD pair has drawn a line in the sand at the psychologically important 0.7000 handle. Price action shows the exchange rate probing this level repeatedly without managing a convincing close above it, leaving the short-term outlook in limbo.
The bias remains neutral to bullish as long as the pair holds above 0.6900. That support floor has become a near-term pivot, with the market adopting a wait-and-see attitude just below the round figure.
However, bulls face a tough test. The repeated failure to clear 0.7000 suggests sellers are entrenched, and the inability to build momentum leaves the pair exposed to another potential retreat. A break below 0.6900 would shift the bias more decisively to the downside.
Traders are watching for a daily close above 0.7000 to confirm an uptrend extension; otherwise, range-bound trading or a corrective move lower could dominate.
