Confirm an intradate candlestick only after a longer cycle reprints it
The illustrated method builds candlesticks on several bar lengths of the same session and accepts a message only when two or more lengths agree. Shorter cycles propose nearby turns. Longer cycles filter those proposals. Williams %R is reserved for a later question: whether the last confirmed swing already looks stretched.
- Accept a candlestick message only when two or more bar lengths of the same session print a compatible bullish or bearish thesis.
- Treat shorter lengths as more sensitive proposals and use longer lengths as the filter. A single 22-minute stream was judged too coarse for the shortest swings and slower to time entries and exits.
- Read a doji as indecision, not as a standalone entry. Wait for a later named formation to reprint the idea on another cycle.
- Williams %R is used only after confirmation, to ask whether the last accepted swing already looks stretched.
Several lengths of one session
The illustrated method builds candlesticks on several bar lengths of the same session. Each named open-high-low-close formation states a bullish or bearish hypothesis on its chosen bar length. A signal is accepted only when two or more of those lengths agree.
The bar lengths used for that session were 3, 5, 7, 9, 13, 15, and 23 minutes. Each length is a dominant cycle in the sense used here: it is the active sampling interval, and the intervals are read together so a shorter cycle can be checked against a longer one.
A single 22-minute candle stream was judged too coarse for the shortest swings and slower to time entries and exits than a multi-length comparison. Shorter lengths were described as more sensitive to nearby change and more prone to unconfirmed signals. Longer lengths were used as the filter.
The morning ceiling
At 10:50 a three-winged top printed on the 7-minute chart. Dark-cloud covers then printed on the 9-minute chart at 10:52 and on the 15-minute chart at 10:58. A dark-cloud cover is a two-bar bearish sequence in which a later dark body closes into the prior light body after trading above it.
Editorial reading: the 7-minute top only proposed a ceiling. The thesis counted after the 9-minute and 15-minute charts reprinted a compatible bearish message. That sequence is multi-cycle confirmation, not three independent entries.
The midday low
A doji-star reversal printed on the 3-minute chart at 12:07 near a session low of 450.30. Another doji printed on the 5-minute chart at 12:18 above that low. A doji is a bar whose open and close are essentially equal, and it is read as indecision rather than as a standalone entry.
A bullish engulfing pattern printed on the 7-minute chart at 12:21, reprinted on the 3-minute chart one minute later, and was joined by a thrusting line on the 9-minute chart at 12:22. A bullish engulfing pattern is a two-bar bullish sequence in which a later light body fully covers the prior dark body.
On the 3-minute chart a relative-strength reading of 22 and a low stochastic reading were treated as oversold, yet those oscillators lagged the candle reversals.
Editorial reading: the dojis marked indecision near the low. The accepted turn was the later bullish engulfing reprint across the 7-minute and 3-minute streams, with the 9-minute thrusting line as a further compatible message. The lagged oscillators did not lead the candle thesis.
After confirmation, ask about stretch
Tweezers tops printed on both the 3-minute and 5-minute charts at 13:03. Williams %R on the 7-minute chart then showed an overbought spike, and a white hangman printed on the 9-minute chart at 13:09.
A tweezers top is matching highs on adjacent bars that mark a possible ceiling after an advance. A hangman is a small-bodied bar with a long lower shadow after an advance, treated as a warning if the next bar fails. Williams %R is a bounded oscillator of recent highs and lows used here only to grade whether a confirmed swing looks stretched.
Editorial reading: the matching tweezers already satisfied the two-length rule. The 7-minute Williams %R spike did not create the ceiling. It only asked whether that confirmed swing was already stretched. The later 9-minute hangman is a warning on a longer cycle, not a replacement for the confirmation ladder.
