US Strikes Iran Again After Hormuz Air Defenses Rebuilt

A senior U.S. defense official reported that Iran has rebuilt parts of its air defense and missile network along the Strait of Hormuz since the April 7 ceasefire, prompting fresh U.S. strikes on Qeshm Island and Sirik.

A senior U.S. defense official stated that Iran has reconstituted portions of its air defense and missile network along the Strait of Hormuz in the ten weeks since the April 7 ceasefire. This rebuild forced the U.S. to launch fresh strikes targeting locations such as Qeshm Island and Sirik.

While extensive damage from earlier operations persists, the official noted that Iran repositioned military assets during the ceasefire period, necessitating renewed American strikes. No further details on the extent of the latest operations have been released.
