Major US stock indices opened in negative territory. The Dow Jones Industrial Average declined by 216.38 points, or 0.42%, to 51,704.24. The Nasdaq Composite fell 276.06 points, or 1.09%, to 25,082.54. The S&P 500 dropped 49.31 points, or 0.67%, to 7,308.18.
