U.S. stock indexes opened with a mixed performance. The S&P 500 declined by 23.26 points, or 0.31%, to 7,552.13. The Nasdaq Composite fell 194.65 points, or 0.74%, to 26,086.96.
In contrast, the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 47.44 points, or 0.09%, to 52,684.45. The divergence highlights ongoing sector rotation as technology shares underperform while blue chips hold steady.
