US equity ETFs attract record $880bn in inflows year-to-date

Investors have poured $880 billion into US equity ETFs so far this year, already exceeding every full-year total except the 2025 record. Current inflows are more than double the same point in 2021 and 2025, setting the stage for an unprecedented annual haul.

US equity ETFs have gathered $880 billion in net inflows year-to-date, putting 2025 on course for the largest annual inflow on record. This already surpasses every full-year figure except the all-time high set in 2025, and the pace is more than twice the levels seen at this stage of 2021 and 2025.

At the current run rate, annual inflows are projected to top $1.4 trillion by year-end, which would be roughly $500 billion above the 2025 record of approximately $920 billion.

The data underscores surging investor demand for US equities, with flows accelerating well beyond historical trends. No single ETF is specified; the figures represent aggregated flows across US-listed equity ETFs.
