Unknown Hacker Takes Over Robinhood CEO's X Account to Promote Vladhood Token

An attacker gained access to the X account of Robinhood CEO Vlad Tenev and promoted a token named Vladhood (VLAD), claiming it was the official mascot of Robinhood Chain. The token was launched 46 minutes before the hack, and trading volume on Uniswap exceeded $22 million in the first few hours.

VLAD

An unknown attacker compromised the X (formerly Twitter) account of Robinhood CEO Vlad Tenev and used it to promote a token called Vladhood (VLAD), falsely labeling it the "official mascot" of Robinhood Chain. The token contract was deployed 46 minutes before the takeover.

Trading volume on Uniswap surpassed $22 million in the early hours after the launch. The hacker collected trading fees six times through the Pons platform, acquiring 31.6 ETH worth approximately $59,000.

According to on-chain data, the attacker then distributed the funds and 72 million VLAD tokens across three newly created wallets. The incident highlights ongoing security risks around social media accounts of high-profile executives in the crypto space.
