Tokenized RWAs Excluding Stablecoins Hit All-Time High Above $33B
Excluding stablecoins, tokenized real-world assets reached a new all-time high over $33 billion, but most of that capital is locked behind steep minimum investment thresholds. A new Cointelegraph Research report explores how tokenized lending models aim to bridge this gap for retail investors.
Tokenized real-world assets (RWAs) have surged more than tenfold since early 2024. Excluding stablecoins, the market capitalization of tokenized RWAs just hit an all-time high of over $33 billion, according to a new Cointelegraph Research report produced in collaboration with 8lends.
Despite the milestone, a significant portion of the capital remains inaccessible to retail investors. Some tokenized private credit funds require a minimum investment of $500,000, while certain corporate credit deals start at $5 million. The report examines how tokenized lending models are attempting to lower these barriers and make such investments more broadly available.
