Swiss Franc Hits Two-Week Low Against US Dollar as Middle East Tensions Rise

The Swiss Franc weakened to a more than two-week low against the US Dollar on Monday, with USD/CHF climbing to 0.8126 as traders reacted to renewed hostilities in the Middle East.

USDCHF

The Swiss Franc fell to its lowest level in over two weeks against the US Dollar on Monday, driven by escalating Middle East tensions. USD/CHF traded around 0.8126 at the time of writing, up 0.50% on the day and marking its highest point since June.

Market participants moved towards the US Dollar as a safe haven amid reports of renewed conflict in the region, weighing on the Franc. The move extends recent USD strength and reverses some of the Franc's earlier gains.

No specific economic data from Switzerland or the US was released to account for the move, leaving geopolitics as the primary driver for the session.
