SEC Enforcement Deputy Director Sam Waldon to Leave, Osman Nawaz to Succeed

The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) announced a leadership change in its Enforcement Division. Principal Deputy Director Sam Waldon will leave the agency on July 31 after more than 14 years of service. Former SEC official Osman Nawaz has been appointed to succeed him.

Waldon's departure marks a significant transition in the SEC's enforcement leadership, which oversees regulatory actions including those related to the cryptocurrency space. Nawaz returns to the agency after previously serving in the Enforcement Division.
