S&P 500 reaches record high as soft inflation and AI trades lift stocks

Soft US PPI and CPI readings and renewed AI optimism pushed the S&P 500 to fresh all-time highs this week, while gold pulled back slightly after its strong run.

The S&P 500 has climbed to a fresh all-time high this week. Soft PPI and CPI readings in the US, along with renewed confidence in AI trades, supported the move.

Gold took a breather after a strong run and pulled back a touch from recent levels.
