Webull Brings Options into Pre-Market as Brokers Adopt Cboe’s New Sessions

Webull has extended options trading into pre-market hours as brokers adopt Cboe's new sessions, alongside IG's prediction-market push, OANDA Japan's withdrawal halt and Plus500's Brazil deal.

Webull has extended options trading into pre-market hours, making the Nasdaq-listed brokerage one of the platforms adopting Cboe's newly introduced trading sessions. The change widens access to options for Webull's user base outside the traditional cash-session window, and comes as exchanges and brokers push to lengthen the trading day for US-listed derivatives.

The Webull update headlined a wider industry recap that also flagged several regulatory and corporate developments across the retail trading sector. IG Group is seeking a UK gambling licence as part of plans to move into prediction markets, a step that would take the spread-betting and CFD specialist into event-based contracts.

Operational and deal news

OANDA Japan has suspended client withdrawals following a server hack, according to the same roundup, putting the spotlight back on cyber-security and client-fund handling at retail FX operations in Japan. Elsewhere, NAGA reported falling earnings against a backdrop of rising marketing costs.

In consolidation news, Plus500 agreed to acquire a Brazilian broker, extending the listed group's footprint in Latin America. Google also opened the door to CFD advertising in Denmark and Chile, a shift in policy that could affect client acquisition channels for brokers targeting those markets.

The recap also covered the funded-trading segment, with MyForexFunds detailing its "no conflict" model as part of an Evolution relaunch and Goat Funded Trader reporting $26 million in payouts. Kalshi, the US prediction-market exchange, set out its pitch to brokers.

On the platform and licensing side, Capital.com said its UAE clients traded $1 trillion in the first half of the year, Saxo Bank signed nine athletes for a marketing campaign, Revolut secured a crypto licence in Gibraltar and eToro launched a new desktop terminal. FinTop Consulting shared its 2026 salary surveys for Dubai, London and Cyprus.

Taken together, the items point to a sector competing on trading hours, product range and geography while absorbing fresh regulatory and operational risk.
