Ripple and Bitso Bring MXN-Backed Stablecoin MXNB to XRP Ledger

Ripple and Bitso have expanded their partnership, integrating Bitso's MXN-backed stablecoin MXNB onto the XRP Ledger to facilitate enterprise stablecoin settlement across Latin America.

XRP

Ripple and crypto exchange Bitso announced an expansion of their partnership. The collaboration will bring Bitso's MXNB stablecoin, which is backed 1:1 by the Mexican peso (MXN), onto the XRP Ledger (XRPL).

This integration aims to power enterprise stablecoin settlement across Latin America, leveraging the speed and low cost of the XRPL for cross-border payments. Bitso is a major exchange in the region, and the move could enhance liquidity and settlement efficiency for businesses using MXNB.

The partnership builds on existing ties between Ripple and Bitso, with Ripple's payment network already using Bitso for on- and off-ramps in Mexico. No specific launch date or additional financial terms were disclosed.
