Qatar Says $6 Billion Iranian Frozen Funds Not Transferred Yet

Qatar's foreign ministry stated that the $6 billion in frozen Iranian funds have not been transferred and remain subject to a 2023 agreement for humanitarian goods.

Qatar's foreign ministry spokesperson confirmed that the $6 billion of frozen Iranian funds have not yet been transferred to Iran. The funds remain under the terms of a 2023 agreement, which stipulates they are earmarked exclusively for the purchase of humanitarian goods.
