PBOC Holds Loan Prime Rates Steady in July

China's central bank left its one-year and five-year Loan Prime Rates unchanged at 3.00% and 3.50%, respectively, in July, as expected.

USDCNY

The People's Bank of China (PBOC) announced on Monday that it would keep its Loan Prime Rates (LPRs) unchanged for July. The one-year LPR remains at 3.00%, while the five-year LPR stays at 3.50%.

This decision aligns with market expectations, as the PBOC has maintained a cautious monetary policy stance amid slower economic growth and ongoing property sector risks. The steady rates signal no immediate easing or tightening bias from Beijing.
