PBOC Fixes USD/CNY Central Rate at 6.7928, Yuan Weakens

The People's Bank of China set the USD/CNY reference rate at 6.7928 on Tuesday, slightly higher than the previous fix of 6.7911, indicating a weaker yuan.

The People's Bank of China (PBOC) set the USD/CNY central parity rate at 6.7928 on Tuesday, compared with the previous day's fix of 6.7911. The increase in the rate reflects a marginally weaker yuan against the dollar.

The daily fix guides the onshore yuan's trading range, with the spot rate permitted to fluctuate around the reference level.
