New Zealand Dollar Weakens on China PMI Miss, US Dollar Rebound

The NZD/USD fell to around 0.5860 on Friday, down 0.33%, as weak Chinese business data and a recovering US dollar weighed on the kiwi.

NZDUSD

The New Zealand dollar declined against the US dollar in Friday's session, with NZD/USD trading near 0.5860, marking a 0.33% loss for the day. The move came as investors reacted to a disappointing Chinese manufacturing PMI report, which signaled continued contraction in the world's second-largest economy.

The US dollar recovered ground across the board, adding further pressure to the kiwi. China is New Zealand's largest trading partner, so signs of sustained weakness in Chinese business activity often weigh on the NZD.

Traders are monitoring upcoming US economic data for further direction, but the immediate sentiment remains bearish for the pair.
