Japan inflation data next as yen remains stuck near 158
USD/JPY remains around 158.00 after Tuesday’s dip, with Japan’s inflation release the next key domestic catalyst.
USDJPY
USD/JPY continues to trade near the 158.00 area, broadly unchanged from where it has spent much of October.
On Tuesday the pair eased from around 158.50 to its session low before recovering about half of the move. Cheaper crude oil and a softer dollar elsewhere did little to lift the yen.
Attention now turns to Japan’s upcoming inflation figures, which may shape near-term yen direction.
