MSCI announced updates to its ACWI Index with 55 additions and 92 deletions, potentially triggering passive index-fund rebalancing flows.

MSCI has published its latest ACWI Index review, with 55 additions and 92 deletions that could force index-tracking funds to rebalance. Sandisk, Carpenter Technology and ATI were named the three largest World Index additions by full market cap.
The ACWI IMI index will see a larger set of changes: 184 additions and 279 deletions.
Country-level moves include Charoen Pokphand Indonesia exiting the MSCI Indonesia Index, while Cochlear and Sonic Healthcare are set to be removed from the MSCI Australia Index.
