JetBlue Posts Narrower Q2 Loss, Sets 2028 EPS Target of Over $1

JetBlue reported a smaller-than-expected Q2 adjusted loss and matched revenue estimates, while guiding for higher capital expenditures and introducing a 2028 earnings target of at least $1.00 per share.

JetBlue Airways reported second-quarter financials that slightly beat on the bottom line. The adjusted loss per share came in at 66 cents, narrower than the consensus estimate of a 68-cent loss. Operating revenue was $2.78 billion, exactly in line with forecasts.

Looking ahead, the carrier expects third-quarter capital expenditures of approximately $300 million, above the $209.6 million estimate. JetBlue also re-established its full-year 2026 outlook and now sees full-year capex of about $850 million, up from a prior view of around $800 million.

Additionally, the company introduced a long-term earnings target, aiming for at least $1.00 per share in 2028.
