JD Vance: Xi's Inner Circle Split on AI Arms Race With US

Senator JD Vance claims Chinese President Xi Jinping's inner circle is divided between those pushing for AI dominance and those worried about losing the AI race to the U.S., suggesting Chinese leadership is rattled by recent AI developments.

In comments made on the Michael Knowles Show, U.S. Senator JD Vance stated that Chinese President Xi Jinping's inner circle is experiencing internal divisions regarding artificial intelligence.

According to Vance, one faction within Xi's close advisors seeks to achieve global AI dominance, while another group is apprehensive about winning the ongoing AI arms race against the United States. He further suggested that Chinese leadership appears somewhat unnerved by recent AI developments.

The remarks add a geopolitical dimension to the rapidly evolving AI landscape, highlighting perceived tensions within China's decision-making hierarchy as both nations compete for technological supremacy.
