ING: EUR/USD Rate Differential Supports Euro Amid Gulf Tensions

ING strategist Francesco Pesole notes that the EUR/USD short-term rate differential is currently supporting the Euro as Gulf tensions rise, aided by a recovery in EUR front-end rates.

ING strategist Francesco Pesole argues that the EUR/USD short-term rate differential is currently supporting the Euro amid rising Gulf tensions.

The support is strengthened by a recovery in EUR front-end rates. However, Pesole warns that an energy shock could put this rate support at risk against the US Dollar.
