GTN Names Saxo Vet Daniel Endler as First Ever Group CPO

Trading infrastructure provider GTN has created a group-level Chief Product Officer role, naming Saxo Bank's former Head of Institutional Product and Solutions Daniel Endler to the post.

GTN has appointed Daniel Endler as its first Group Chief Product Officer, a newly created position at the trading and investment infrastructure provider. The role sits between GTN's commercial operations and its chief technology officer, with Endler tasked with building a single, adaptable platform that can be tailored to individual markets.

Endler joins after a 13-year stint at Saxo Bank, where he worked across the institutional business in both commercial leadership and product ownership positions. His most recent title there was Head of Institutional Product and Solutions. "It aligns these two functions from a day-to-day operational standpoint, while also driving strong strategic initiatives," Endler said of the new role's placement between the commercial and technology sides of the business.

A single platform with local variations

In the role, Endler will lead product development across all of GTN's markets and asset classes, coordinating with teams in the firm's regulated hubs in the Americas, Europe, Africa, the Middle East and Asia. He described an approach built around a common core platform, supplemented by jurisdiction-specific adjustments. "We have one common platform and we synergize around the common denominator as much as we can," he said, adding that GTN is "very committed to adding the flavours that are needed in the different markets."

Endler also pointed to regulation as a shaping force for product design, noting that rules differ widely between regions and that regulatory texts often contain subjective requirements. "Regulation nowadays is often the factor that shapes product and service as well," he said. His mandate includes broadening the range of asset classes clients can access through a single account, though he did not disclose which instruments are planned.

The company said the group-level CPO position was prompted by a period of rapid geographic and regulatory expansion. GTN secured Financial Industry Regulatory Authority membership for GTN Americas, allowing that unit to offer fractional US equity trading and API-based trading infrastructure to fintechs. In 2024 it obtained a UK FCA licence to support European expansion and added a South African FSCA licence, then completed its Asia-Pacific push in March 2026 with a Type 1 securities-dealing licence from Hong Kong's Securities and Futures Commission.

Co-Founder and Group CEO Manjula Jayasinghe framed the hire as a response to shifting client demand. "The banks, brokers, asset managers, and fintechs we partner with are facing a common challenge: a new generation of investors demanding more investment opportunities without leaving the app they already use," he said.
