Gold Rises on Easing Middle East Tensions, Up 1.5% in Asia

Gold advanced around 1.5% in Asian trading on Monday as tensions in the Middle East eased, with the metal opening with a bullish gap.

XAUUSD

Gold was among the gainers at the start of the week, opening with a gap higher on Monday. The metal advanced around 1.5% during Asian trading hours.

The move came as the latest easing of tensions in the Middle East improved market sentiment, supporting the precious metal.
