GBP/USD Weakens Below 1.3450, Uptrend Intact

GBP/USD slipped below the 1.3450 level in early European trading on Friday, pressured by safe-haven dollar demand due to geopolitical tensions, though the broader technical uptrend remains in place.

GBPUSD

The pound traded around 1.3445 against the dollar, edging lower as rising Middle East tensions and elevated oil prices boosted the greenback’s safe-haven appeal.

The move took the pair beneath the 1.3450 handle during the early European session, reflecting near-term dollar strength despite an otherwise constructive technical backdrop.

Analysts note that while the immediate pressure leans bearish, the broader uptrend structure remains intact for now.
