Euro Declines Toward 1.1500 on Escalating US-Iran Tensions

EUR/USD fell to around 1.1515 in early Asian trading Friday as risk appetite soured on fears of a wider Middle East conflict between the US and Iran.

EURUSD

The euro weakened against the dollar during early Asian hours on Friday, with EUR/USD slipping to around 1.1515. The move came as a risk-off mood gripped markets, triggered by escalating tensions between the United States and Iran.

Fears of a broader conflict in the Middle East sapped demand for risk-sensitive currencies, pushing traders toward the safe-haven dollar.
