EssilorLuxottica Q2 Revenue Misses, But Profit Beats; AI Glasses Sales Double
EssilorLuxottica reported Q2 revenue of €7.69B, slightly below estimates, but H1 adjusted operating profit of €2.75B handily beat forecasts. The company also saw AI glasses revenue almost double in the quarter and confirmed its long-term outlook.
EssilorLuxottica posted second-quarter revenue of €7.69 billion, below the consensus estimate of €7.83 billion. First-half revenue came in at €14.81 billion, up 9.7% year-over-year at constant exchange rates.
Adjusted operating profit for the first half was €2.75 billion, significantly ahead of the expected €2.46 billion. Free cash flow reached €1.07 billion.
The company highlighted that revenue from AI glasses nearly doubled in Q2. Management also reaffirmed the group’s long-term outlook.
