ECB Holds Rates Steady at July Meeting, Deposit Rate at 2.25%

The European Central Bank (ECB) left its three key policy rates unchanged at the July meeting, in line with market expectations. The deposit facility rate remains at 2.25%.

ECB President Christine Lagarde stated that the economic outlook has reverted to the baseline scenario presented during the June meeting, following recent developments in energy markets. The decision signals a pause after the bank's previous rate adjustments.

The move comes amid ongoing uncertainty over inflation and growth in the eurozone, with the central bank maintaining its data-dependent approach.
