Crypto.com and Trump Media Shift Prediction Market Plan to Marketing Deal

Crypto.com and Trump Media & Technology Group have replaced their planned prediction market integration with a marketing agreement, and also scrapped a separate venture with Yorkville Acquisition Corp.
Crypto.com and Trump Media & Technology Group announced Friday that they have modified their previously disclosed prediction market collaboration, replacing the planned direct product integration with a marketing arrangement.
The revised agreement will have Crypto.com market its prediction market offerings to users of Truth Social, rather than building an integrated product on the platform. The companies described the shift as a better fit with Trump Media’s current strategic goals.
“Our strategic focus is to drive revenue across Truth Social, continue to build our global media business, and close the merger with TAE,” said Kevin McGurn, interim chief executive of Trump Media. “This marketing agreement better aligns with our priorities and will put Crypto.com’s prediction market experiences in front of a highly engaged digital audience.”
Separately, Crypto.com, Trump Media and Yorkville Acquisition Corp. (NASDAQ: MCGA) said they have abandoned their earlier plan to establish Trump Media Group CRO Strategy, Inc. The companies cited “prevailing market conditions and shifting business and stakeholder priorities” for the cancellation.
In a joint statement, the firms said all initial discussions and development work related to the proposed business combination and digital asset treasury structure will be formally concluded.
Trump Media & Technology Group trades on Nasdaq under the ticker DJT and is also listed on NYSE Texas. The announcements mark a narrower scope for the partnership than originally envisioned, with the companies now focusing on promotional exposure rather than deeper product integration.
