Coming soon: bringing Kraken to life

Kraken is rebuilding its mobile app from scratch, embedding financial intelligence into the core architecture to simplify crypto trading and focus on user goals.
Kraken has announced a complete overhaul of its mobile application, positioning the redesign as a fundamental shift from traditional trading platforms. The exchange aims to make crypto trading “intuitive, not overwhelming” by embedding financial intelligence directly into the app’s architecture rather than adding a separate AI assistant.
The company acknowledged that existing platforms often overwhelm users with complex tools and minimal guidance, leaving less experienced investors behind. The new app is designed to adapt to individual financial objectives—such as saving for a house, a car, or retirement—and then work in the background to help users achieve those goals while maintaining full control over decisions.
“This is built-in financial intelligence, not an AI assistant bolted onto an old interface; it’s embedded in Kraken’s core architecture,” the firm stated. The app will provide visibility into every action and wait for user confirmation, promising “maximum visibility, maximum control, with minimum effort.”
The announcement comes with a caution: AI-generated investment recommendations carry risk, including potential loss of capital. In the United States, investment advice on crypto assets is provided by Payward Interactive, Inc. (PWI), while securities advice comes from Kraken Adviser LLC, an SEC-registered investment adviser. The disclaimer notes that recommendations are not guaranteed to be suitable or accurate for individual circumstances and that past performance is not indicative of future results. Geographic restrictions apply.
Kraken did not provide a specific launch date but said the redesigned app is “coming very soon.” The move signals an intensifying competition among crypto exchanges to offer more user-friendly, goal-oriented tools as the market matures.
