Cigna Beats Q2 Earnings and Revenue Estimates, Lifts Annual Guidance
Cigna reported Q2 2026 adjusted EPS of $7.78 and revenue of $71.56 billion, both above analyst expectations. The company also raised its full-year adjusted EPS outlook to at least $30.45.
Cigna posted second-quarter 2026 results that exceeded Wall Street forecasts. Adjusted earnings per share came in at $7.78, surpassing the consensus estimate of $7.60. Adjusted revenue reached $71.56 billion, ahead of the projected $70.34 billion.
The company's Cigna Healthcare medical care ratio – a key metric for insurers – was 84.5%, in line with the estimated 84.46%. For the full year, management now expects the medical care ratio to range between 83.7% and 84.7%, compared to the estimate of 83.97%.
Looking ahead, Cigna raised its full-year adjusted EPS outlook to at least $30.45, edging above the analyst expectation of $30.41. The improved guidance reflects confidence in the company's performance for the remainder of the fiscal year.
