Binance Withdraws MiCA License Application in Greece, Seeks Authorization in Another EU Country

Binance has withdrawn its application for a MiCA license in Greece, stating it intends to obtain authorization in another EU country. The exchange remains committed to MiCA compliance, aiming for a license in the coming months.

Binance has pulled its application for a Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) license in Greece, opting to pursue authorization in another European Union jurisdiction. The application was under review by the Hellenic Capital Market Commission, which never issued a formal decision on it.

The exchange stated that Europe remains a key market and reiterated its commitment to operating under MiCA's transparent and uniform regulatory framework. Binance confirmed its regional expansion plans are unchanged and expressed confidence in securing a license in the coming months, though it did not disclose which EU country it will target next.
