Axi Becomes DP World Tour's Official Online Trading Partner
Axi has signed on as the DP World Tour's official online trading partner, marking its first move into professional golf. The deal includes branding rights and a branded fantasy game.
Axi has become the Official Online Trading Partner of the DP World Tour under a deal announced on Thursday, giving the broker its first presence in professional golf. Neither Axi nor the tour disclosed the agreement's duration or financial terms.
The partnership includes branding rights at selected DP World Tour tournaments and across the circuit's digital channels for the season. It also covers a branded version of the tour's fantasy golf game, to be known as Fantasy DP World Tour Powered by Axi. Axi said further details about its involvement at individual events will be released during the season, and the agreement gives the broker access to hospitality and networking opportunities as the tour holds tournaments in international markets.
Axi Chief Executive Rajesh Yohannan linked golf to trading, saying the two activities share the same DNA and require preparation, discipline and small performance margins. DP World Tour Chief Executive Guy Kinnings described the tour's audience as affluent and financially savvy, and said the parties plan to run campaigns across multiple channels and organize networking initiatives in Axi's priority markets.
The deal extends Axi's sports sponsorship portfolio, which has been built largely around football, into a new sport. While most broker-backed golf projects have centered on individual players or tournaments, Axi's agreement covers an international tour. The broker describes itself as the first online trading provider to partner with a professional golf tour, a claim that excludes earlier deals between trading firms and individual golfers, academies or standalone tournaments.
Other brokers have also diversified their sports marketing. KCM Trade signed Australian professional golfer Enshan Hooi as a sponsor for his 2025 tour in May 2025, following its involvement with the Medway Corporate Golf Cup in Australia. In January 2026, eToro became the exclusive trading and investment partner of the BWT Alpine Formula One Team and signed agreements with four French football clubs for the 2025/26 season; eToro spent $10.7 million on sports sponsorships during the 2024/25 season.
Axi first entered sports sponsorship in 2020 through a multi-year deal with Manchester City, announced around its rebrand from AxiTrader. In March 2023, the broker extended that agreement to include sponsorship rights for the club's women's team. Axi has since used Manchester City players in campaigns promoting Axi Select, its capital allocation program. The broker's reported football portfolio also includes Brazil's Esporte Clube Bahia and Spain's Girona FC, where Axi has served as official online trading partner for Latin America. Manchester City defender John Stones has appeared in Axi campaigns as a brand ambassador.
