AUD/USD Firms Near 0.6940 as US Dollar Softens Despite Strong Jobless Claims

The Australian Dollar gained against the US Dollar on Thursday, trading near 0.6940, as a softer USD outweighed stronger-than-expected US jobless claims data.

The AUD/USD pair traded around the 0.6940 level on Thursday, supported by a softer US Dollar. The advance came even after stronger-than-expected US jobless claims figures, which suggested continued tightness in the labor market. The Australian Dollar has been firming broadly as the Greenback faces headwinds.
