Apple Trains First China-Specific AI Model With Alibaba Support
Reuters reports Apple has trained its first AI model designed specifically for China, with support from Alibaba. It will complement local Qwen and Baidu offerings in the Chinese version of Apple Intelligence.

Apple has developed an artificial intelligence model specifically for the Chinese market, with Alibaba's support, according to Reuters. This is the first such China-specific model from the company.
The model will be integrated into the Chinese version of Apple Intelligence. It is expected to complement existing local solutions from Qwen and Baidu.
Claude and ChatGPT, the American AI services, are not available in China, the report notes.
